Researchers in China use 3D Printing to Prove Mayans had Airplanes

Whether you believe in the conspiracy theories that swirl surrounding the Mayans or not, one group of researchers in China decided to test the idea that the Mayan Civilization had airplanes. In the past, gold pendants were dug up which depict airplanes. These were found within the Mayan ruins and date back over 1000 years. Taking these designs, the researchers created CAD models and then 3D printed them out, before using laser cutters to create the inner skeleton of the planes. They then test flew these planes to see if their could actually fly. The results? Let's just say it may make goosebumps run down your spine. Great work with the 3D printing, but the original pendants look just like FLYING FISH to me.
