Incredible 3D Printed Tools
While the most famous 3D printed tools are literally out of this world -- like the wrench printed on the Made In Space 3D printer on the International Space Station -- more everyday type fully useable tools are also being created. Dr. John Steuben, a researcher in the Computational Multiphysics Systems Laboratory, has been working on 3D printing for years now, but about two years ago had "a bit of a breakthrough" that led him away from hobby prints and into useful tools. That breakthrough led him to creating his own wrench for a new machine -- the wrench was so strong it's still in use now. He has since also created 3D printed adjustable groove-joint pliers, among other creations. He's also released designs on Thingiverse.
