South Korea's Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning says 3D Printing will be a major economic growth engine for the country, and they've formalized a 10-year plan to develop fluency in 3D printing skills for 20% of the country’s population by 2020. The initiative includes funds from the South Korean government to supply 5,800 3D printers to schools, train 13,000 teachers, and build 130 3D printing promotion centers throughout the country. To that end, a new partnership between Australia-based Makers Empire and South Korea-based GreenComm will together bring 3D design and printing to primary schools in the country.
