CGTrader is gearing up for the New Year with not one, but two competitions. The first, their Valentine's Day 3D Printing Challenge, is a 3D design competition for Valentine's Day, calling on all designers and 3D printing enthusiasts to submit their unique ideas for jewelry, home goods, gadgets, sculptures, trinkets, and more -- by February 9th. The second is their 3D Printing in Education Challenge, which is an effort to get kids excited about 3D printing and add a really cool library of 3D printed models for them to choose from when doing science and technology projects. There are two categories of winners for the education challenge: Best 3D in Education Challenge Model -- and the Best 3D in Education Challenge Portfolio. A variety of prizes are offered for first prize and the winners up, with everything from filament to cash, and all sorts of goodies.
