Salvatore 'Turi' Cacciatore is a freelance designer who fell in love with 3D printing technology. Not wishing to waste materials, Cacciatore says he took an IKEA cabinet kit he found in his basement and used the drawers to make the support structure for his Rostock delta printer. Cacciatore says that ultimately, 3D printing technology will change the way we think, design, manufacture, distribute, and use products. He says he was inspired by the open-source 3D printer projects shared on-line to build his own, and he calls it "one of the biggest satisfactions I had in my entire life."
