Rob Elford's Incredible 3D printed Jewelry
Rob Elford's 3D printed jewelry explores tensions between art and commercialism, humanity and nature, decadence and austerity, and humor and seriousness. His most recent collection is inspired by his trip to debt-ridden Greece, where he witnessed ancient architecture co-exist next to the economic ruins of the contemporary Greek culture. He has also had much to say about how the Internet undermines individual creativity through its mandatory liking and tweeting. Elford has commented on humanity's destruction of nature in his piece "Mother in Chains", and has been inspired by US-based voodoo cultures of both New Orleans and Little Haiti for his work "Hoodoo Botanica." Huh, I was expecting to be unimpressed, but man, some of those are downright nice. (especially the "Part 2" pieces, which look like something a normal person would wear... With the exception of the rings, I guess.)
Alas, I have a lack of disposable income and my fiance dislikes wearing jewelry anyway.
Do bed magnets deteriorate.
