Stratasys' "Make Something That Moves Something" curriculum strives to bring 3D printing technology to students, and the new program is already seeing success in practice. Boston's Wentworth Institute of Technology is utilizing this curriculum, and recently saw a successful project from senior mechanical engineering student Carmelo Locurto. Locurto's class attempted to create a full line of modules that would operate in tandem, and his was the center piece driving the movements of the others. The entire assembly did not come to fruition, but Locurto's center module was an impressive success. Following a redesign, Locurto created a five miter gearbox that printed out all in one piece.
