Update: Looks like it is a bad thermistor cartridge. If I wiggle the wires going into the cartridge, I can see the temperature display drop considerably.

Running RC8, but I have been running that for a while now and am only recently getting the issues. Watching my temp during a print, it seems to vary +/-10 degrees.
Just reran the pid and got wildly different numbers. Kp 19.82, Ki 0.98, Kd 100.36. Still having issues with these new numbers.
I upgraded my e3d to the sock and block setup and am now having issues with "heating failed". This doesn't always happen, but I have posted an example below of a time that it did. In this example, I...
I put the itty bitty dual flex v2 on mine. I find it works a lot better than the stock direct drive extruders. The stock ones didn't have enough power and would freeze up at times and not extrude.
Is there something binding on the idlers or something getting in the way in the extrusion? Does it do it without the belt connected?
It will. However, I have ordered 3 similar power supplies from different suppliers on amazon. They all appear to be the same power supply. I had one die within 3 months, and another within a month...
12" mirror tiles. Work great and cheaper than getting it cut. Also they seem to be flatter/more even than lowes cut glass
Just a couple upgrades for the itty bitty. I would like to see an easy cable chain attachment system. Also, I would love to see a system that retracts a hot end when not in use. It would only have to...
ABS at 260/110. I also tried it at 240 and it looks about exactly the same, and 225 (which had too little layer adhesion).
Printing at 60mm/s with Outline Underspeed of 40%, Solid Underfill...
Yes please. Also if you have the original CAD file, it would be great.
Thanks.
Also, the best upgrade I have done so far is to get a Raspberry Pi and install Octopi.
My bed relay doesn't get anywhere near the frame.
I also had issues with the stock direct extruders. I don't think they are strong enough. The slightest tension in the spool and the extruder...
Just trying to figure out what is going on with the top of this calibration print.

That sounds like the perfect solution. I will probably use that idea, but with the stock springs and a spacer (and longer M3 bolts)
I tried doing that, but even with small zip ties, the head of the zip tie conflicts with the X extrusion.
Has anyone used z-couplers on their 12" pegasus? I have clearance issues with the lower x-axis extrusion when I trying to use them on the Z rods. I am having issues with the rods slipping with the...
I have a Pegasus 12" with Clough42 Itty Bitty. I just noticed in configuration.h the following:
// Uncomment one of the following four lines so the Bed Topology Report can produce a map
...
Not reversible. It has the silver mirror coating on one side.
I have a 12" Pegasus. Around here, HD does not cut glass, and the pieces I got from lowes were not flat (took a while to figure that out. Figured out that both stores sell "mirror tiles" that are...
I have noticed that my prints are rotated 180 degrees from what simplify3d and octoprint show on their displays. The parts are not mirrored and they work fine, it is just a little annoyance. Is there...
Finally bit the bullet and made this my first 3D printer. ordered on Saturday and it was already in the mail on Monday. Can't wait till I get back in town so I can start building.
does Lowes or...
What do you mean by auto retract hot ends? Does one of them move out of the way when you are using the other?
Thanks for the info
The Pegasus is another makerfarm kit. It looks to be mostly the same as the i3v, but using metal extrusions instead of wood. It also comes with direct drive extruders. The electronics should be able...
