Mat Collishaw Creates Incredible Zoetrope, "All Things Fall'

Artist Mat Collishaw blends the old -- zoetrope technology and classical art themes -- with the new, 3D printing technology, to create moving sculptural works which can be humorous and mortifying. His latest piece, All Things Fall, is a depiction of the biblical story of The Massacre of the Innocents, a tale of horror which inspired some of the finest painters in history. The spinning, LED-lit piece makes use of hundreds of small figures which, when viewed in motion, play out a scene of gothic nastiness.
