Jeremy Burnich 3D Prints Race Tracks

Jeremy Burnich is, by his own reckoning, obsessed with 3D printing and motor racing, and it's that obsession that led him to create his company, 3D Racetracks. The racetrack models are topographically built to represent the twists, turns and elevation changes of 73 of the most famous auto racing venues in the world from the Gran Prix circuit at Monaco to the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Burnich designs and develops the tracks before they're printed through Shapeways for delivery. You can read more about his company and the process of creating the tracks here: http://3dprint.com/32059/3d-racetrac...prints-models/

Theres another guy who has been doing something similar for a while now. His pieces are topographical but they are routed out of some nice pieces of hardwood ply. Expensive as hell or I would have one for every track I've ridden on. This is definitely a much less expensive option but not nearly as pretty.
