Following the removal of his dislocated patella, Oreo the dog needed a kneecap replacement. His veterinarian turned to the Orthopaedic Innovation Center in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada for answers. The OIC used their Stratasys 3D printer to create a biomedically compatible, custom-fitted patella for Oreo. The entire process, thanks to the speed and ease of 3D printing, took only four days. Three years on from his surgery, Oreo is doing just fine and is leading a very active lifestyle thanks to his kneecaps, original and replacement.
