Korean doctors were able to help reshape the right side of a patient’s face after he experienced trauma and misalignment of his eyes due to a tumor removal. The doctors turned to 3D design and 3D printing of a scaffolding type implant made of an FDA-approved biodegradable polymer, polycaprolactone, which would dissolve in the patient’s body after two years, after the patient had experienced tissue regeneration around the implant.
