3D printed syringe pumps normally will cost scientists and researchers up to $5,000 a piece. Through the use of 3D printing however, Joshua Pearce and his team from Michigan Tech Univ. have been able to create similar pumps which work just as well, for just $100. That's 2% of the cost they would pay a vendor.
