3D printing and art seem to go together like peanut butter and jelly, or better yet, bacteria and plastic. One artist named Sammy Jobbins Wells has used 3D printing and bacteria in a way you have never seen before. Wells cultured a bacteria, and then used 3D printed molds in order to shape a fine skin of this bacteria. Once dried the bacteria was removed and an awesome shape is left. Check out the picture below showing a thin later of dried bacteria shaped like that of a face, in which it is molded after. The 3D printed mold is seen in the background.
