    The 3D Printed Anatomy Kits

One day in the future there may be no use for cadavers any longer. Thanks to Monash University’s Centre for Human Anatomy Education, there are now 3D printed anatomy kits which feature many of the inner workings of the human body, in a less freakish to touch object. 3D printing is able to provide anatomically correct structures based on 3D scanning of bodies and CAD design. While this won't be replacing cadaver use anytime soon, it may be leading the way to greater education of the human body to those that traditionally don't have access to or don't wish to touch cadavers. High School and College students, using these kits will be able to get an almost identical education to those students in higher levels of learning that have access to cadavers. We have actually discussed this on many episodes of 'All Things 3D' Malaysia comes to mind as one of the countries where it is illegal to use cadavers and 3D printing has been used in neurosurgical training.
