What's an awesome way to get designers excited about designing? How about introducing 3D printers into the equation, and then telling them to design some cool toys with them. That's pretty much what the University of Minnesota did with their Toy Design class called Playsentations. The students made a variety of awesome toys, many with the help of 3D printers. More details about these classes and designs that emerged can be found here: http://3dprint.com/8885/playsentations-3d-print-toys/

Would you consider taking such classes? Seems like a blast to me. The class website with syllabus can be found here: http://product.design.umn.edu/course...711/index.html
