We have already seen where NASCAR has been using 3D printing in order to come up with solutions to problems within their vehicles. Now it looks like Formula One may eventually begin 3D printing parts for cars during actual races. Several teams are already using 3D printing to create models of cars to test aerodynamics, but Red Bull Racing thinks the time is coming soon where they can use 3D printers, track side, to repair vehicles during a race.
