ORD Solutions MH3000 R2 (RoVa3D) Coming to Kickstarter Very Soon

For those familiar with ORD Solutions, you know that they released a 5 color/material 3D printer last year via Kickstarter. It was called the MH3000, and it contains 5 extrusion nozzles. It is a very sturdy 3D printer that costs $2,599. However, the company is planning to launch another Kickstarter project probably sometime this month for the next version of the MH3000. They are currently holding a contest to name the new printer, and it will have many new additional features. It will be priced the same (except you get a discount if you back it on Kickstarter). Read more about this new printer at http://3dprint.com/5687/ord-solutions-mh3000-r2/

Does anyone here have the MH3000? Anyone plan on backing the upcoming 2nd version of this printer?

Umm...so is this kickstarter basically a means of taking preorders?

havent looked into the previous versions. but shouldnt they be capable of transitioning to this updated version?

The first project introduced our printer to a worldwide audience. Besides North America, we have shipped printers to Europe, Australia, and Mexico. But the total printers pledged for in our last campaign was only 50. We think the market is a lot bigger than that. Kickstarter is a great platform for helping us get the word out to the greater 3D printing community. And, with payment processing and reward processing built right in, we can focus on what we do best, building high quality 3D printers. We don't look at it as taking pre-orders, as this is new development

Hi everyone. Campaign says they have delivered at least 50 already of the precedent version. What is your feeling ? How are they working ? How was your overall support experience ?

To ORD, are you planning to develop profiles with Simplify3D ?

    Update #8

Happy Canada Day, Eh! And Big News - More Free Stuff!!

    Happy Canada Day!

ORD Solutions is proud to be a Canadian company, and today, July 1st, Canada Day, we celebrate our country and our way of life. We include our country's symbol, the maple leaf, and our flag's color, red, into every printer that we make. So when you use our printer, you know that it was proudly made in Canada.
We have three big announcements we're making today as well. Call it a Canada Day gift to all our backers:

    Big Announcement 1 of 3

The first is that we have decided to add a 1 year manufacturer's warranty as the $100,000 stretch goal. We had planned to include this at a higher level that was going to be revealed later, but based on feedback from backers, and also when we looked at the warranties of other 3D printers, we realized that there was no need to wait. Our standard warranty is 3 months, and it turns out this is also a standard in the 3D Printer industry. Well, we don't want to be like everyone else, so, when we reach the $100,000 funding level, every printer will include a 1 year warranty against manufacturer's defects.

This essentially means that if a part breaks or wears out on your printer during the first year of use, we will send you a replacement at no charge. We will also provide you instructions, typically a video, for replacing the part yourself.
We have a lot of confidence in the quality of our printer, and we are prepared to back that up with a longer warranty at no charge to you, our backers. Happy Canada Day!
    Big Announcement 2 of 3

With the change in the $100,000 stretch goal, you may ask, what happened to the 5 free nozzles that used to be the $100,000 stretch goal? Good question! We have moved the 5 free nozzles to the $50,000 stretch goal, and added it to the free Kapton tape.
So, now when we cross the $50,000 threshold, everyone who pledges for a printer, plus the UPGRADE-O-RAMA backers, will receive 1 roll of Kapton Tape AND 5 Free Extra Nozzles. Combined, this is a $90 value. Happy Canada Day!
    Big Announcement 3 of 3

Our third announcement is that we have now sourced a 7" tablet that we have confirmed works with our printer. And we are including a tablet with every 5 nozzle printer that is pledged for during this Kickstarter campaign. For free!
So if you have pledged for a printer with 5 nozzles, or if you pledged for the UPGRADE-O-RAMA reward, you will be getting a 7" Android tablet that can be used to drive your printer, at no extra charge! This is a $150 value. This is not a stretch goal. This is applicable now, and we will update our reward descriptions to include this in the FAQs. Happy Canada Day!
    Fine Print

Please note that if you pledge for a printer with less than 5 nozzles, this tablet will not be included, but can be added on for $125. So if you pledge for a single nozzle printer, use the calculator to calculate your pledge including shipping, then add $125 for the tablet, if you want it.
Tablet may not be exactly as shown in the image above.
If you have any questions about this, please use the Contact Us button to send us a message and we'll try to clarify. Also, watch for more details about these tablets and how they work in a future update.
    Happy Canada Day!
