The founder of 3Dynamic Systems, headquartered at Swansea University in Wales, has been profoundly inspired to help develop an innovative treatment for microtia—a condition typified by an underdeveloped ear and diminished hearing. 3Dynamic Systems has created a method of bioprinting which takes living tissue to create ear constructs which can then be used in reconstructive surgery. As they continue to work on this bioink process, the research team hopes to work with others around the world in research and development.
