The MakerSat team from Northwest Nazarene University is getting ready to see their CubeSat, which they spent two and a half years developing, go into space as part of NASA's CubeSat Launch Initiative and Educational Launch of Nanosatellites (ELaNa). The MakerSat-0 is the first satellite to be created in Idaho, and will launch in March 2017, to orbit the Earth for 10 years. The project is leading up to the development of the MakerSat-1, which will be 3D printed, assembled and launched from the International Space Station.
