French home goods and electronics retailer Boulanger has partnered up with 3D printing platform Cults3D to design a very appealing service: a platform that allows Boulanger's customers to download and 3D print their own replacement parts for free. The platform, called happy3D, features 3D printable files for parts such as refrigerator feet, oven knobs, vacuum cleaner nozzles, and more - and that's just the beginning of what will eventually be available. Boulanger says that their goal is to extend the life of their products and contribute to a less wasteful, more circular economy - and they hope other companies will follow their lead.
