One of the first companies that got their hands on a Carbon3D M1 DLP 3D printer was global 3D printing services provider Sculpteo, who is in the process of testing the printer and materials. They have just released a new blog post detailing their experiences with Cyanate Ester (CE), a resin material that has high-performance and heat resistant properties. Finished CE parts will be extremely strong and stiff and capable of deflecting heat up to an impressive 219°C (426°F), with its long term thermal stability making it an ideal material for automotive applications, electronics and industrial parts that need to survive and continue to perform in hot environments.
