Researchers at Autodesk have a developed a new tool that artists and designers should find quite valuable. ChronoFab allows the user to imbue their 3D models with both time and movement with different effects such as motion lines, sweeps, particle systems, and multiple stroboscopic stamps. The goal is to visualize greater dynamics than what we have previously experienced with 3D models that are only static. Here, ChronoFab users can show us a more dynamic scene, bringing cartoon characters to life, zooming forward—or works of art displaying such scenes as dancers or sports figures.
