Policymakers are becoming further interested in the impacts of 3D printing and additive manufacturing as the industry continues to offer up substantial innovations to the world, impacting nearly every sector. Now, they are considering the economic impacts of the technology. Today, Carnegie Mellon School of Engineering faculty, Jack Beuth and Adam Feinberg are participating in a briefing for Congress, called ‘Additive Manufacturing/3-D Printing: Transforming Industry, Creating New Economic Opportunity.’ The briefing is actually hosted by Carnegie Mellon University and America Makes, and along with discussion there will also be the demonstration of some of the latest examples of innovation in additive manufacturing.
