Sculptor Rinus Roelofs dreams big. One of his imaginative creations has just made the transition from digital model to physical reality thanks to the innovative printing processes used at 3Dealise for creating large scale products. The over seven-foot-tall, 1,300 pound statue entitled 'Cylindrical Knot' is the expression of a mathematical concept and was made possible via 3D printing. The sculpture was unveiled at at the RapidPro trade show and its creators hope it helps demonstrate the viability of 3D printing as a means for producing large scale, public works of art.
