An Indonesian woman named Nini lost all of the fingers on her right hand, due to an accident at a plastics factory. She was expecting a child in December 2015, but because of her injury, was going to have difficulty holding, feeding and otherwise taking care of the baby. A man in Jakarta, familiar with Nini's situation, happened to see a video about a child who had been given a 3D printed prosthetic hand through e-NABLE, and set out to create a hand for Nini. Though it took some time, Nini was able to receive a new hand before giving birth, and can now fully and easily care for her child.
