Duke University is one of the latest learning institutions to benefit from the organization and management tools offered by 3DPrinterOS. As their 3D printing lab expanded from one machine to a much more substantial inventory of 35 3D printers, their team began a case study, looking at other universities and how they were handling their labs. What they found was not exactly encouraging as it seemed that many learning institutions bought multiple machines and then had little direction in how to actually maintain them. In learning about and implementing the 3D printing management system from 3DPrinterOS, Duke is now able to offer use of their 3D printers to all students and faculty with streamlined workflow and a very helpful and efficient tracking system.
