According to UPS vice president of marketing for global logistics and distribution Alan Amling, UPS is going to start offering their clients light product assembly and manufacturing using 3D printing. UPS will store individual components on-site and as orders come in to their customers, UPS will do any light assembly needed and ship completed products out almost instantly. They have also installed a printer farm of 100 3D printers in their Kentucky facility, where they will offer online 3D printing services as well as light assembly of products with 3D printable components.
