Australia’s Monash University created the first commercially available kit of 3D printed cadaver replicas. The kits are all realistic and anatomically accurate, while also allowing for limited color-coding to help medical students better visualize the human body and how it works. The real specimens are scanned using a CT or laser scanner and converted into full color STL or VRML files. Not only is this a less expensive option, but it is faster and gives them the ability to create as many copies as they want.
