Designer Jeremy Burnich of Joy Complex, headquartered in Pittsburgh, has been greatly inspired by the story of Afghan artist and activist Khubra Khademi, who staged her own incredibly brave protest within the streets of Afghanistan, making her point by wearing a piece of fitted armor on her torso featuring quite prominent metal breasts. Over just a short eight-minute span, the crowd of men became incensed, hurling insults and even stones, and upon fleeing, Khademi has been in hiding. She has been attacked since and is also receiving death threats. To highlight her protest, bravery, and support for Women for Afghan Women, Burnich created a 3D printed pendant which is a beautiful replica of the armor she wore. It is available through Shapeways for just under $40, and all the profits go to Women for Afghan Women. Read more at 3DPrint.com: http://3dprint.com/108417/khubra-khademi-pendant/
