It’s certainly no surprise to hear that Epson will be entering the 3D printing market. That won’t be happening this year, however. With projects in the development phase, Seiko Epson's Global President, Minoru Usui states that they may enter the 3D printing industry in the next four or five years. Visiting India to celebrate 25 years of business, Usui discussed other plans on the horizon--as well as past successes--but mentioned that their plans for 3D printing are to do what no one else is, and that is to target the mass volume manufacturing market.
