After serving in the Navy in Kuwait, 28-year-old Quan Taylor was shot in a robbery back in his home of Atlanta, Georgia. He was shot more than eleven times and left wheelchair-bound and paralyzed from the waist down. But a 3D printer at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital where he is receiving treatment has helped Taylor deal with his trauma, and even confront it. He even used the 3D printer to create a replica of the bullet that paralyzed him, which he wears around his neck.
