i.materialise has released some tips in a blog post for printing hollowed 3D models--a brilliant move (the #1 hack, they say) to cut costs in 3D printing. The tips include creating the right wall thickness for your hollowed objects and including escape holes to eliminate extra material that can warp the print. Hollowed prints also have the bonus of being cheaper and saving resources too, moving us one step closer to a more accessible and sustainable 3D printing industry. Read more about the advantages and savings possible through hollow models in the full article: http://3dprint.com/96039/hollow-prints-i-materialise/
