Newly formed company Dem Bones has dedicated itself to the perfection of a 3D printed canine skeleton for use in veterinary education. With a background in 3D printing, the members of the team aren't newbies but they have turned to Kickstarter to help them fund this effort so that they can take it to the next level. They are aiming to raise $22,000 to purchase equipment and have a manufacturing retainer. The 3D printed skeletons are fully articulated with magnetic joints to allow for a natural range of motion and promise to be significantly cheaper than currently available models or natural skeletons available to veterinary schools.
