Designer Creates Intricate 3D Printed Fashion On At-home 3D printer

3D printing is striding ever more confidently into fashion. Danit Peleg, a 2015 graduate of Israel's Shankar College of Engineering and Design, has now debuted an impressive collection with the world's first ready-to-wear line of 3D printed clothes that anyone can print at home. Peleg printed her pieces using her Witbox FDM desktop 3D printers, with FilaFlex filament, using structures like the mesostructured pieces from designer Andreas Bastian, and with 3D printed shoes to complete each ensemble, inspired by designer Michele Badia. Each of the dresses in Peleg's collection took around 400 hours to print.
