Diny Kuypers-Beeks, of the Netherlands, and her husband recently discovered the joys of 3D printing and purchased their own Ultimaker 2 3D printer and, eventually, Sense 3D scanner to make some 3D printed magic. Beeks wanted to 3D print people, and scanned and printed a small model of her daughter--in full costume for a musical called "The Show Must Go On." When Beeks' daughter showed her castmates the figure, many of them wanted their own, and eventually Beeks ended up creating 27 such figures for the other singers and actors. Beeks printed the figures at about a 12 cm height, then spray painted them bronze and gave them a patina finish, impressing all the actors.
