Students and faculty at VA Tech recently collaborated to create an Ant vehicle, a completely 3D printed creature that can crawl across the wreckage of a man-made or natural disaster as part of searching for survivors. This is just one of many exciting projects that Dr. Christopher Williams has had the privilege of working on during his time at VA Tech. Dr. Williams is the Director of the Design, Research, and Education for Additive Manufacturing Systems (DREAMS) Lab where he has access to some of the brightest minds in engineering, a bevy of impressive 3D printing equipment, and the administrative support to make his work matter.
