New Zealander James McVay says his heated bed for the UP! Mini Printer will improve the quality of prints and minimize total warm up time. His UP Mini Bed+ was the result of hours of using and studying the printer - and then reverse engineering its electronics - to come up with viable options for this new heated bed design. It's essentially a 'plug and play replacement bed' which features a better heater element design for faster warm-up and more consistent bed heating, a user-selectable temperature setting and visual indication of the performance of the bed through LEDs which monitor heater element status among other operations.
