Since her debut in 1959, Barbie has been everything from a princess to an astronaut, serving as a role model of various types for children everywhere. Now, in a new idea submitted to Quirky, intellectual property lawyer Charlene Flick has introduced a new conceptual role for the iconic doll: a maker. Maker Barbie, who designed her own robotic dog, Benny, would come complete with an entire 3D printing ecosystem, complete with her own doll box opening up to be her maker space. Voting, via a thumbs-up or -down system, on Quirky is open until May 6th. Check out more details about this idea in the full article: http://3dprint.com/61902/barbie-joins-maker-movement/
