While 3D printing often seems like magic, Dutch magician Daniel Spies has put his own brand of magic on the technology by creating a new retro-style game system based on classic 1986 console Nintendo Entertainment System (NES): The Nin10do. Bringing together Python script and Raspberry Pi, Spies' Nin10do is a professional-looking, fully functional gaming system. He used Printics, which he found on 3D Hubs, to print the designs he came up with in Autodesk 123D. The total costs were around €300, with €160 in printing costs.
