A 3D Printed Robot Which Can Pick-up and Move Objects on Demand
Together, robotics, 3D printing, and Raspberry Pi are a truly winning combination. These technologies are taking the world by storm, and 15-year-old student Casey Johnson has created one of the most impressive designs we've seen yet. The teen owns a RoBo 3D printer, purchased with the funds from a successful Kickstarter campaign last year, and he used the machine to create a robot. Johnson's robot, designed in CAD, programmed in Python, utilizing Raspberry Pi, and controlled by a Playstation 3 controller, is able to drive around, pick up objects, move them to a new location, and put them down.
