Adam Proctor is a 3D printing evangelist who runs his own 3D printing hub outside of Boston, and his latest project on Instructables both is heartwarming and would make an excellent gift. Proctor built his 3D Footprint Keepsake to thank the the nursing staff at the hospital where his newborn baby girl was born and then printed it in pink PLA plastic. It all started with a digital photo of the ink footprint he took with smartphone camera, and he then used a variety of free apps to complete the files for the project.
