Incredibly Intricate 3D Printed Ship

While 3D printing technology is being more widely adopted as a rapid prototyping platform, there are still some holdouts who aren't sure about its use in creating final end-use products. Russia-based Invent Prototyping recently rose to the challenge of creating an incredibly detailed 3D printed boat -- that's only 79.75mm (3.13 inches) long. Using their ProJet 3500 HD Max 3D printer from 3D Systems, they printed the boat in around 11 hours, and it came out beautifully. Just 15.3mm (0.6") tall, the tiny ship has impressive amounts of detail, all of which remained intact through the printing process.
