3D printing is taking the world by storm, and China is an up-and-coming major power in this emerging industry. Tany Foundry, based in China, uses 3D printing among their other tools and techniques in creating bronze cast products. Their latest project was making a bronze cast dinosaur using 3D printing techniques. The dinosaur, an impressive 32 inches long, was designed by Travis Tischler, modeled in Zbrush, and printed on the company's 3D Systems 3D printer in 13 pieces. The print job took about five days to complete. The 3D printed objects were used to create silicon rubber molds that in turn were used in a lost wax casting process to cast the objects in bronze.
