Japanese Designer 3D Prints a Bunch of RC Microships

Remote controlled vehicles are popular among enthusiasts of all ages, and a few children in Japan recently had the experience of enjoying 3D printed RC boats created by their talented uncle, K. Morozou. Morozou created several intricately designed RC boats, and two particularly detailed vessels were modeled after the 30-foot 'Sea Helper.' He scaled them down to 1/76, with one boat measuring in at 105mm long, and the other at 118mm. The slightly shorter of the two he made into a fire boat, complete with a functioning water cannon that could spray water 3 meters out (that's 28x the length of the boat!) ahead of it. Morozou took his boats into a pond in Tsujido and let children race them, as he controlled the fire boat -- and put his iPhone on a homemade barge to record the fun!
