i havent seen consumer grade metal yet. some sort of conductive material would be useful for electronics projects
understanding the limitations of different technology (FDM vs laser sintering). learning to work with different machines tolerances
it would be cool to use the 3D doodler as some sort of scaffolding glue gun. you could bond pieces together by wrapping it in melted plastic
easy enough to navigate and find the info i need.

i think there a lot more factors in the quality/price/performance of 3D printing compared to stuffing as many transistors on a chip as possible so its hard to say
i just used a 3D printer for a gallery piece. ill basically take modeling time and printing cost into consideration for my selling price. who knows if anyone will buy it though

the 2x is fully enclosed because it uses ABS which is toxic. the 5th gen uses PLA so it shouldnt make harmful smells
