    Printing with my Prusa i3

My son dropped off a Prusa i3 this evening for me to play with. I love presents! This was a test printer we built September 2nd to use at Maker Faire NY and at one of our build seminars. He is coming over tomorrow to help me set it up with my laptop. Of course, I could not wait so I downloaded a file from Thingiverse and sliced it in Sli3cr. Fired up Pronterface and started printing. I guess I should have looked at the file more carefully because it is not 12:07 and I still have 10 minutes left to go. That's what I get for starting a 2 and a half hour print after 10pm My wife gave up on me and went to bed. I guess I am like a kid with a new toy? I'll post a picture of my test print in the morning.

    Add Geoff on Thingiverse
nice, id drop the temp 1 or 2 degrees on your nozzle with that filament, i can see air-pop bubbles in the folds, happens to to me when the temp is just a fraction too high, not the same printer sure but that seems to be a common prob

Can I hijack - How do you set the resolution?
    By changing the extruder tip?

Change the layer height in Slic3r or whatever you are using to slice your files. I have been printing at .2mm for the past couple of days.

Our Prusa's all have .5mm nozzles while our MakerBots use .4mm nozzles.

    Ah! Brilliant.
Thanks for that. I have 0.35mil nozzle.
I generally do layers at 0.3mil.

I managed once to get a 0.15mil, was nice looking.

    BTW: AWESOME PRINTS!!
My i3's quality is nothing like that! (nor was my old i2, which I thought was good!! haha)
