War has an effect on every member of society, and the Middle East certainly has more than its share of those impacted by terrible conflicts. Children in Syria who have lost hands, arms, or other limbs typically have few options for prostheses, and the Hands Across Borders project is now here to help. Led by e-NABLE, the project brings Scout troops together to help assemble 3D printed prosthetic hands that will go to children in need. Maria Esquela is helping to organize the Hands Across Borders project, bringing together e-NABLE members such as Dr. Albert Chi, a world-renowned trauma surgeon, who will help create the hands and train doctors across the world in their use.
