Selling Printers, Firmware Question
I've been interested in starting a 3D printer business selling printers I've made but I'm unsure about selling it with firmware, are there any open source firmware i can use? I looked in to one of the marlin versions but it states its closed source and patented. What about being able to use Azteeg, arduino, etc printer controllers is that permitted? Any help, tips or ideas are appreciated. Please no negative comments.

In reprap, you can find some firmware.
You can have a look at boots industries using rumba card with open source firmware.
SeemeCNC also use open source firmware.
I both uploaded with the simple arduino IDE

Marlin has an open source licence - you can see it at the github repository here: https://github.com/ErikZalm/Marlin. Where did you see the closed source version? It may be in violation of the original open source licence.
You can also use Repetier. That and Marlin are the two main sets of firmware I've seen for printer kits. We built our kit up and got it working and tuned with Marlin and sell the kit pre-configured with the version we've proven.
