    3D Print With Platinum Thanks to Tanaka Holding

    Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo, of Tokyo-based Tanaka Holding, has developed platinum-based metallic glass powder for use in SLS 3D printers. Announced November 18, Tanaka is the first company in the world to succeed in forming platinum group metals for use in 3D printers. The company will show off their new materials next week -- November 26-28 -- at the International Powder Technology Exhibition Tokyo (Powtext Tokyo) 2014, and will subsequently begin delivering samples on December 1.
